Jemima James:

has been one of the Vineyard's most sincere and original musicians of the last 30+ years. Jemima plays country folk & blues in the Hank Williams tradition and recently had her album 'Book Me Back Into Your Dreams' released on the legendary Tomato Records label (home to classic works by Townes Van Zandt & Chris Smither among others)! She is now living in North Carolina, but frequently visits her family on MV.

Noah Maxner:

will be opening this show, and it will be his first performance on MV since returning from living in Venice, CA in March. Noah has several projects in the works. A few albums under his own name, and he also has a band project known as Sea Beast, which is more in the vein of the post-rock genre ala bands like Explosions in the Sky. For this show he will most likely be playing solo acoustic, possibly incorporating some drones and looping effetcs to broaden his sound. He is heavily influeneced by neo-classical composers such as Arvo Part. His solo work is contructed in a very thought out, compositional manner, which requires the listener to absorb themselves in what he is playing. Noah will have an album forthcoming on my own, A Whale of a Label, imprint later this year.
